The UK has paid out £24 million in compensation to victims of one of the Covid-19 vaccinations—and this is on less than 10 percent of the total claims that have been made.
Just 200 victims or their surviving families have received compensation payments from the government’s Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS), which has been assessing more than 2,500 claims that the vaccines caused death or permanent disability.
They, or their families, have received the statutory £120,000 compensation payout, irrespective of the disability that was caused.
Around 500,000 Britons have reported a serious reaction to a Covid jab, according to figures obtained from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) yellow card reporting scheme, which records just 12 percent of adverse reactions to drugs.
Most of the claims related to the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine, which was rushed to market and was widely used in the UK, but was banned in almost every other country over concerns about its safety.
