Heat therapy kills cancer cells, scientists prove

Reading time: 1 minute

In February 2009, WDDTY told its subscribers that heat treatment is a proven way to kill cancer – and now researchers have demonstrated it in laboratory trials. Cancer cells were altered in one therapy that involved a sustained heat of 43 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes – and the cells started to die when they were exposed to a burst of heat therapy of 50 degrees Celsius for one to two minutes. At that level, there was permanent tissue damage to a prostate tumour, and which led to necrosis, or cell death. The laboratory experiments have been carried out at the Hashemite University in Jordan. In the WDDTY report, other experiments have demonstrated that cancer cells can be killed when exposed to temperatures of 42 to 43 degrees Celsius.
