Euthanasia of the elderly—and not Covid—was the true cause of excess deaths, paper claims

Doctors have been carrying out systematic euthanasia on the elderly while blaming the excess death rate on Covid infection, a controversial paper has claimed.

They have been administering the ‘chemical cosh’ drug, midazolam, in care homes, and the excess death rate—nearly 44,000 more died in April 2020 in the UK than expected—was blamed on Covid infection.

But just a month earlier, in March, the UK’s health agency had already downgraded the threat level of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19 infection, and so the sudden leap in deaths in April cannot be entirely blamed on the epidemic, argues Wilson Sy, a financial analyst.

Instead, doctors were prescribing midazolam, a strong benzodiazepine that affects the central nervous system, and more commonly described as a ‘chemical cosh’, to care home residents, and the drug was primarily responsible for the excess death rate, he argues.
