Dark chocolate reduces high blood pressure

Reading time: 1 minute

If you suffer from high blood pressure, start eating dark chocolate. It can ‘significantly’ reduce pressure and can be just as effective as a powerful drug. The flavanols in the chocolate improve artery health that, in turn, reduces blood pressure, or hypertension. Chocolate seems to be especially effective for people with high blood pressure, and researchers reckon that eating a little chocolate most days for five years reduces the overall risk of heart attack and disease by 20 per cent.
