ChatGPT has just passed the medical tests to become a radiologist.
It got 81 percent of questions right—and sailed through the pass rate level of 70 percent. It was even able to correctly interpret imaging findings around 85 percent of the time, which suggests it had special radiology training.
More worryingly, ChatGPT learns, and quickly. An earlier version of the bot, known as 3.5, just failed to pass, recording a 69 percent result, just one below the grade.
But the later version, ChatGPT 4, had learned, and passed first time.
