Homeopathic physician and TCM practitioner Dr Vanessa Morgan discovered an unlikely remedy to heal Covid, long Covid and Covid vaccine damage in homeopathic snake venom. Cate Montana reports
Snakes and medicine have a long associative history. Whether people know its origin or not, everybody is familiar with the rod of Asclepius, the single serpent-entwined staff wielded by the Greek god of medicine that graces the logos of the World Health Organization, the American Medical Association and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
The staff itself is supposed to be a rough-hewn branch representing plants and growth. The snake, which regularly sheds its skin, is presented as a symbol of renewal.
As myth would have it, however, Asclepius’s healing skills unfortunately resulted in too few people dying and going to the underworld, for which he was killed by a thunderbolt hurled by his grandfather, Zeus. Today, most medicine-related companies, such as in pharmaceuticals and hospital supply, avoid the rod of Asclepius and choose instead to display the caduceus. It features two snakes intertwined around a staff with two outstretched wings at the top and is the symbol of the Greek messenger god Hermes.
Globally, approximately 15 percent of all snake species are venomous, and ancient healers used the venom of most of those snakes to create concoctions to cleanse the body of toxins and parasites. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), snake wine created by soaking whole dead snakes in alcohol was used to treat arthritis and rheumatism. Snake charms were universally used to guard against illness and ward off evil spirits. Snake venom was used as a coating for arrow and spear tips to slow or kill foes merely grazed in battle.
Today, the use of snake venom is widespread in pharmaceuticals and pharma research because in the race to identify new drugs, venoms supply 10–50 million natural compounds that can be used for drug discovery alone.
Whether they come from snakes, cone snails, scorpions, spiders, insects, lizards or amphibians, venoms are complex mixtures of toxic and biologically active proteins and peptides containing up to 500 pharmacologic compounds that act on membrane receptors, ion channels, enzymes and a vast number of other cellular receptor sites in the human body. Currently, less than 0.01 percent of these compounds have been identified.1
Several venom-derived drugs have been approved for clinical use. Captopril (Capoten) is a modern pharmaceutical derived from a peptide in the venom of the Brazilian pit viper (Bothrops jararaca). It’s used to treat hypertension, heart failure and diabetic nephropathy and to aid recovery from a heart attack.
Eptifibatide (Integrilin) uses a clot-inhibiting peptide from the southeastern pygmy rattlesnake to treat acute coronary issues. Cobratoxin (Cobratide), a neurotoxin from cobra species, is approved for pain treatment in China and is the active ingredient in Nyloxin, a homeopathic pain reliever sold in the US.
One of the most interesting, though little-known, uses for snake venoms today is the treatment of Covid-19, long-Covid and Covid vaccine injuries.
In 2022, homeopathic physician, TCM practitioner and acupuncturist Dr Vanessa Morgan (themorganinstitute.com and selfhealcenter.com) was listening to a podcast talking about an Italian clinical study that identified toxin-like peptides “almost identical to toxic components of venoms” from snakes and conotoxins. The researchers found these peptides in the blood, urine and feces of 100 percent of people who tested positive for Covid:
“Listening to this, a light bulb went on in my head because venom remedies have been used in the homeopathic Materia Medica since 1832,” says Morgan. “The law of similars dictates that like cures like.
“So, I went to my library and looked up the snakes they were talking about. Four hours later, I was sitting on the floor in my living room with my mind completely blown.
“If you chart what happens when you get bitten by a venomous snake, then compare that to what people clinically report from acute Covid, long Covid and then the vaccine injuries—circulatory issues, heart arrythmias, blood clots, neurological symptoms, fatigue, rashes—it’s a 100 percent match. And that includes the psychology of it all as well.”
Coincidentally, three days after this major insight, Morgan received a message from a patient of hers who was in Italy. The normally energetic go-getter patient reported that she’d had three Covid vaccinations and gotten sick with Covid three times. She was housebound from debilitating fatigue, was mentally deteriorating and felt like she was dying.
Morgan called her and advised her to send a friend to the pharmacy for the homeopathic remedy Naja Tripudians, made from king cobra venom. “To make a long story short, she completely recovered in three weeks,” says Morgan. “She went from being literally bedridden to going on holiday with a girlfriend to Sardinia.”
In homeopathy, Hering’s direction of cure dictates that symptoms disappear in the reverse order of their original appearance, as well as from more important organs to less important ones, in a top-down and inside-out direction. Not only did Morgan’s patient experience a rapid cure but the course of her healing reflected all the symptoms she had experienced after each vaccination and during each Covid episode.
“This patient was a textbook case of Hering’s law,” says Morgan. “Taking the remedy, she relived every single episode of Covid and the jabs in reverse sequential order. For example, the last symptom she experienced was the radiating pain in her right arm that she felt after her first Covid jab—which had lasted for three months.
“During one episode of Covid, she couldn’t get warm, so when she was taking the remedy, she went through a couple of days when she was freezing inside. During another episode, she had a fever, and that repeated itself as well.”
As Morgan reflected on the numerous Covid patients and vaccine injuries she’d treated, she could clearly see many themes and connections manifesting between the venoms’ effects and her patients’ symptoms.
Some described Covid and long Covid infection as “feeling like I’ve been poisoned.” Many suffered inexplicable neurological disorders similar to those following a snake bite.
Women in their 20s ended up with reproductive system or blood disruptions and cessation of their periods. Women of perimenopausal age were literally hemorrhaging. Most everyone complained of cognitive dysfunction, brain fog, extreme fatigue and feelings of isolation—all potential side effects of a snake bite.
The relationship between Covid-19 and snake venoms is more plausible than one would think. An early Chinese study linked the origin of the virus, then called 2019‐nCoV, to genetic information from both bats and snakes.3
On January 24, 2020, CNN posted a story with the headline “Snakes Could Be the Source of the Wuhan Coronavirus Outbreak.” It stated that scientists in China, using microscopes to examine samples of the virus isolated from patients, had determined the genetic code of the virus. Their findings indicated the original source of the “newly discovered coronavirus” might well be the Chinese krait snake and the Chinese cobra.
Articles with evocative titles such as “Like Venom Coursing Through the Body: Researchers Identify Mechanism Driving Covid-19 Mortality” discussed studies comparing the action of phospholipases A2 enzymes that increase during Covid infection to the ones in rattlesnake venom.4 A Russian study found that snake venom phospholipases A2 were effective for killing SARS-CoV-2.5
The SARS-CoV-2 spike protein was discovered to target alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the brain, spleen and lymph nodes, which is just what snake neurotoxins do. And researchers have compared the spike protein to neurotoxic proteins from king cobra and krait venom.6
Of course, conspiracy websites around the world jumped on the possibility that Covid was genetically sourced from a snake and the spike protein’s eerie similarities with snake neurotoxins. But whatever the similarities and possible connections, Morgan points out, Covid-19 and the Covid mRNA vaccines are hardly the only things driving the widespread immune system dysregulation and neurotoxicity that humanity has been suffering in recent decades.
“As a society, we’ve been envenomated,” she says. “Snake venom is prominent in pesticides and crop sprays and thus has massively entered our food supply. There’s venom in pharmaceutical medications. Weight loss products like Ozempic are synthesized from a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist taken from Gila monster venom, known to reduce blood sugar and appetite. Venoms, their effects and our exposure come from many sources.”
What is new, however, is the effective use of snake venom remedies to treat symptoms that resemble the effects of venom, whatever their cause and source.
Snake venoms are complex biological cocktails containing hundreds of bioactive molecules. Some promote clotting (pro-coagulant), while others prevent it (anti-coagulant). This dual action has made venom components valuable for developing both clot-dissolving and clot-preventing medications.
These are some common components of venom and their primary actions:
These venom components trigger the following effects on the human body:
According to homeopathic principles, a very small amount of these venoms can resolve the symptoms they cause, even if those symptoms were caused by something else—like the Covid virus.
As always in homeopathy, the remedy you should take depends on the symptoms you have.
1. Bothrops Lanciolatus (pit viper) remedy
The most coagulating of all snake venoms, this remedy treats problems related to blood flow and the right side of the body:
2. Bungarus Krait (krait) remedy
Primarily treats physical, emotional and energetic paralysis:
3. Crotallus Horridus (rattlesnake) remedy
Especially effective for treating malignant conditions affecting the blood and post-vaccination symptoms:
4. Naja Tripudians (king cobra) remedy
Treats nervous conditions, lung and heart conditions, and left-sided paralysis:
5. Vipera Torva (common viper) remedy
Excellent blood-clotting treatment and effective for returning and chronic symptoms. It fights tumors and treats the following:
The potency of these remedies you should use depends on the types of symptoms you’re having as well:
Duration of treatment is individually determined for each patient via muscle testing or other means. However, the typical protocol is to dissolve three to five pellets under the tongue and avoid food or drink for 15-30 minutes.
Morgan says the efficacy of snake venom remedies in treatment of long Covid are greatly enhanced and supported by a whole-systems approach, which is clear from the recommended protocols. For example, to minimize uncomfortable detox symptoms, it is helpful to include quercetin, bromelain, and lymphatic drainage remedies, such as the kidney and liver remedies by Guna (gunainc.com), to allow toxins to be expelled through the organs of elimination.
How Aurora and her newborn boy healed from Covid
In January 2022, a week before she gave birth to her son, Aurora, aged 34, went to a social gathering and ended up contracting Covid-19. Due to fever, dehydration and exhaustion, instead of the long-planned home birth, she ended up transferring to the hospital and gave birth surrounded by medical staff dressed in hazmat suits. Her husband and newborn baby got sick as well.
Sixteen months later, both mother and child were experiencing a “failure to thrive.” Her son was late meeting all milestones—crawling, talking, walking and engaging others—and was chronically congested.
Aurora struggled with exhaustion, hormonal imbalances and mood swings. “Life was lackluster, and I had no energy beyond taking care of myself and my son,” she says. “I wasn’t really connecting with other people and had an immense amount of fear that someone was coming to take him away.”
She started seeing Dr Morgan, and within four months of starting snake venom remedies, both mother and son were doing much better. Aurora’s fatigue was gone. “I could feel my body balancing at such a core level that I never remember experiencing in my life,” she says.
As well, her son’s congestion cleared up for the first time since his birth. But one exceedingly powerful experience with the 200C potency of Naja Tripudians—the king cobra remedy—stands out from the rest.
“The first time I took the 200C potency I was sitting on the back porch meditating,” she says. “And in came this flood of scenes from all the horror movies that my dad had let me watch when I was a kid, accompanied by this immense feeling of fear that someone was out to get me and take away my son. That all just flooded in and left.”
After that experience, she says, she was no longer plagued by anxiety and irrational fears. “Naja Trip clearly shows where the toxins are in your life, whether it’s physical, spiritual, mental or emotional,” she says. “And it offers the capacity to look at them and choose to say ‘No more,’ which is huge.”
A male patient in his early 50s came to Dr Vanessa Morgan’s clinic in April 2024 claiming he’d been experiencing long Covid since January 2023. He had a recurring sore throat, lots of phlegm and mucus, a cough, and fatigue. He had noticed a loss of skin elasticity and was bruising very easily. His memory and concentration were impaired, and he felt a very high level of fear and anxiety. He had received five Covid vaccine doses and had also contracted Covid-19 in December 2022.
Dr Morgan started him on Naja Trip 30c, three times per week for three months. “I chose this venom remedy from the king cobra because of its affinity with the nervous system and the strong emotional component the patient expressed,” says Morgan. “It was also effective to clear unresolved infections from the past, like strep, Epstein-Barr and pneumonia, which Covid-19 so often triggers.”
Morgan didn’t hear from him until a year later, April 2025. He had been doing really well and then started to backslide, experiencing a resurgence of the symptoms.
However, he did report that his nervous system had calmed and his anxiety had decreased substantially. His memory and brain fog had improved, and there was a lot less bruising. Morgan then shifted the protocol to Bothrops 30C, three to five pellets three times per week, to go deeper into clearing and resolving the blood coagulation and toxicity caused by the residual spike protein.
By the time of the last protocol in July 2025, all the flu-like symptoms, including the cough, had been resolved. However, to clear the underlying unresolved strep and continue to detoxify spike protein and strengthen his immune system, she recommended some medicinal mushrooms and oral chelation by taking ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA), a molecule that binds to heavy metals.
A 64-year-old woman came to Dr Vanessa Morgan’s clinic reporting symptoms of shortness of breath, painful joints and stiffness, numbness, muscle twitching and constipation. She was sensitive to light and experienced deep feelings of insecurity, almost shock, and a strong desire for solitude. She had received the Covid vaccine and a booster and contracted Covid-19 twice.
Dr Morgan prescribed the following protocol:
At her two-month follow-up appointment, the patient reported no more shortness of breath, sensitivity to light or constipation. The joint pain and neurological symptoms had resolved, the deep fatigue had disappeared, and her energy levels had more than doubled.
A 56-year-old woman reported primary symptoms of spontaneous uncontrollable weeping up to 16 times daily for eight months. She also suffered from heart palpitations, nerve irritation, hormonal imbalance, poor sleep and clouded perception.
She was suspicious, paranoid, apathetic, angry and depressed. Blood tests indicated low ferritin levels, and her white blood cell count was 2.6 (normal range is 5.0–8.0). She had experienced shock following the loss of a loved one and had an overall stressful year.
Dr Morgan’s recommended protocol was as follows:
At her three-week follow-up, the patient reported the uncontrollable weeping was 100 percent resolved along with all feelings of suspicion, paranoia, anger and depression. She felt perceptually acute, her heart palpitations had ceased, and her digestion and sleep quality had improved. When retested, her ferritin and white blood count had returned to the normal range.
