Egg whites as effective as drugs for lowering high blood pressure
About the author:

So they were wrong-eggs are good for the heart after all

So they were wrong-eggs are good for the heart after all. Egg whites are as effective as drugs for lowering blood pressure, researchers have announced this week.
Egg whites contain a peptide that is as successful at lowering blood pressure as the ACE inhibitor drug, Captopril, researchers from Jilin University have discovered.
Frying the eggs, rather than boiling them, seemed to bring out their antihypertensive qualities even more, say the researchers.
The latest findings add to the growing body of evidence that shows that eggs are good for us, and don't raise cholesterol levels.
