It doesn't seem to matter if you drink coffee or tea - drinking either will reduce your risks of heart disease, a new study has found. The greatest risk reduction was seen in tea drinkers. Drinking between three and six cups every day reduced the risk by 45 per cent compared with someone who drank no tea, or just one cup a day. However, if you drink more than six cups a day, the risk of heart disease was reduced to just 36 per cent. Coffee drinkers also saw their risks reduce, although the effect was not so dramatic. People who drink between two and four cups of coffee every day had a 20 per cent lower risk than those who drank either one or no cups of coffee or more than four cups a day.
