There's further proof this week that our body doesn't work in isolation from the mind, and that the two are inextricably linked.

Researchers have discovered that elderly people who are depressed are far more likely to suffer a stroke. They tracked the health of 2,965 people who, on average, were 70 years of age at the start of the study, for seven years, and found that those who were depressed were more than twice as likely to suffer a first stroke.
