Researchers came up with a surprising discovery when they investigated the risks of prostate cancer, and why some men seem to develop the problem.

They found that men who sleep longer than the average - usually nine hours or more every night - had a lower risk of developing the cancer than those who sleep for less. The long sleepers were nearly half as likely to have prostate cancer, the researchers discovered after reviewing the lifestyles of 22,230 Japanese men.
