Ever wondered why doctors tend to bully and belittle you? It's because they had just the same treatment dished out to them while they were at medical school.

A study of 2,800 students from 16 medical schools in America were asked about their experiences - and 42 per cent said they had been harassed, and 84 per cent reported being belittled. As a result, they suffered poor mental health and had low career satisfaction.

And then, to top it all, you walk into the surgery. . .
