If you want to lower your risks of developing Parkinson's in later life, drink plenty of coffee when you're younger.

Researchers have discovered that people who did not drink coffee were three times more likely to develop the condition, and this rose to five times when compared with coffee drinkers who consumed more than 28 ounces a day.

The findings were based on a study of 8000 Japanese American men whose lifestyles were followed

for 30 years (JAMA, 2000; 283: 2674-9).
