* Eat fresh and organic, with more protein and fats - and less carbohydrates and sugar - than food experts recommend

* Eat fresh and organic, with more protein and fats - and less carbohydrates and sugar - than food experts recommend

* Avoid anything processed, refined or interfered with. The chances are, it contains trans fats or polyunsaturated oils.

* Don't consciously avoid fats of any sort if they are a natural part of the food you eat. It may be healthier to eat that fresh chicken with its skin than to eat a processed ready-meal of chicken breast without it.

* Don't forget fish oils and flaxseed oils - the omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids - which are the really good fats.

* Cook with traditional fats and oils: butter, lard, coconut and olive oils.
