Femara (letrozole) was not used in Arimidex/Tamoxifen trial In the case study 'I was an ATAC guinea pig' in the March issue of WDDTY (vol 13 no 12), the writer MP incorrectly states that the ATAC trial was run 'to assess which was the most effective: tamoxifen or arimidex (Femara), or both together'.

Femara (letrozole) was not studied in the ATAC trial, and is not the same as Arimidex (anastrozole), although both drugs are of the same class.
