In WDDTY vol 13 no 5, Jean Lloyd asks for a safe dark hair colouring. I use Tints of Nature, which uses natural ingredients including aloe vera, comfrey, orange, grapefruit, and vitamins E and C combined with plant-derived conditioners. It also has no animal ingredients, and is free of ammonia and resorcinol.

I use Natural Blond and Natural Medium Blond, but it is also available in 1N Natural Black, 2N Natural Darkest Brown and 3N Natural Dark Brown. It is a permanent hair colour and covers all grey hair. I find it needs doing every six weeks to cover new hair growth.

It is available by mail-order from Hursdrex Ltd, Mulberry Court, Stour Road, Christchurch, Dorset BH23 1PS; tel: 01202 471 800. - Miss E.M. Owen, Wrexham
