But where is the herbal research

About the author:

I normally enjoy reading WDDTY, but I was extremely disappointed with the phytoestrogen article (WDDTY, vol 11 no 5)

I normally enjoy reading WDDTY, but I was extremely disappointed with the phytoestrogen article (WDDTY, vol 11 no 5).

The article fails to mention any of the research/review articles by medical herbalists (Australian Journal of Medical Herbalism 1995; 7: 11-6; British Journal of Phytotherapy 1997; 4: 123-45; European Journal of Herbal Medicine 1996; 2: 20-6). In fact, it managed to avoid any mention of herbal medicine altogether.

The National Institute of Medical Herbalists will tell you that menopausal and other female sex hormone imbalances respond very well to herbal treatment by a qualified practitioner. Graham White, medical herbalist, Bishop's Stortford
