This may impair the infant's overall growth and immunity. Women should perhaps consider other options to reduce pollutants from their body. Lauren Amblard, London.........WDDTY replies: Dr Michel Odent's conclusion is that the benefits of breastfeeding still outweigh the potential harm to the baby of environmental pollutants released in breast milk.
