Real reason for dismissal

About the author:

I, too, am incensed that Dr Robert Blomfield has been struck off by the General Medical Council for such a small omission as not writing a letter of referral to a doctor when trying to help a child he could no longer look after (WDDTY, vol 8 no 12)

I, too, am incensed that Dr Robert Blomfield has been struck off by the General Medical Council for such a small omission as not writing a letter of referral to a doctor when trying to help a child he could no longer look after (WDDTY, vol 8 no 12). This is ridiculous when compared to other cases of malpractice, where doctors have escaped with warnings. As you say, the real reason he was struck off was because he used homoeopathy. If anyone is to be blamed it should be the parents, for not carrying out Dr Blomfield's advice. Zelda Rand, Southampton.......
