Me caused by enzyme damage

About the author:

Recently I was intrigued to read about Dr Majid Ali's theory on the causes of ME in his book The Canary and Chronic Fatigue (New Jersey: Life Span Press, 1994).

He maintains that ME sufferers have unique constitutions which predispose them towards enzyme damage brought about by accelerated oxidative stress. Not only does his theory seem eminently logical to me, but also he is optimistic about the chances of recovery (unique for sure!).

With the help of immunotherapy and intravenous nutrients he sees a way to reverse the molecular damage. Unfortunately, Doctor Ali lives and practises in the US. I would love to know if anybody in Britain is offering similar treatment. M Newell, London.......
