While you rightly stress the toxicity of retinol, there is also evidence that it can cause cancer of the esophagus (Amer J Epidemiol 1990, 131: 454); it also probably causes birth defects (Dept of Health, 25 Oct 1990).

I have to question the advice to take B complex vitamins, as there is evidence that B vitamins can promote tumour growth or inactivate anti cancer drugs (Bas Oncology, 1976; 33: 183 and Anticancer Research, 1981; 1: 263) Dr Philip Rofe, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.....
