Advice needed on Sjogren's Syndrome

25 Jul 2013 @ 20:03PM

Sjogren's syndrome can develop after a specific insult to the immune system. I developed it after vaccination against Hep B (I was compelled to have this for my work as a healthcare professional being exposed to human tissue) and antibiotic treatment for a deep tooth abscess. Now as a somewhat wiser (re-trained) nutritional therapist and herbalist, I have successfully achieved remission with immune restoration (through the gut) and appropriate nutrition for the mucous membranes - tocotrienols and zinc, have worked for me personally and for clients. A definitive diagnosis of SjS is not always possible and there are commonalities with other rheumatoid diseases and a genetic component. Restoring SIgA is important also. Functional medicine testing to look at fatty acid balance, inflammatory profile and immune function would be useful.

This is a case for energy medicine, such as BodyTalk ( There is no point in treating symptoms as there is an underlying imbalance which could be emotional, mental, physical or spiritual. The best thing you could do is admit that another form of healing is advisable, and give them the site to look at. You will get kudos for knowing where to go, even if you don't know how to do it yourself - and who knows... you may become so interested yourself that you'll learn it, and open up a whole new dimension of looking at the bodymind as a whole. All we are is energy, after all......

here is something for you to peruse

i think one needs to be careful about using the phrase "auto-immune disease" because this presupposes that a persons own body is attacking itself. I think one needs to assume microbes or nutrients of some type under lie any supposed auto immune medical situation. There are hidden motives by the powers that be or medical establishment in claiming that something is "auto immune". It's a phrase that can brainwash doctors and patients in thinking about treatment and the cause. It puts their mind in a small box. One needs to think outside the box.

I have a client with the auto-immune disease Sjogren's Syndrome. Besides Omega 3 does anyone have any other treatments for it?

Kind regards
