In answer to your request for suggestions for treating the side effects of anti-malaria tablets (WDDTY vol 4 no 11), I have some homeopathic options which may help. Arsenicum album matches your reader's symptoms best; blurred vision, mouth ulcers, red tongue, swollen and bleeding gums and hair loss.

Arsenicum can be found in most chemists and health food stores. When treating yourself it is best to use the 6c potency, one pill three times a day until the symptoms change, at which point the remedy should be stopped and the body allowed to heal itself.
