The side effects of HRT

Dear WDDTY

I have been on HRT since August 1990 four different patches and three drug based Trisequens Premarin and Livial. All have had severe side effects on me; in fact, Premarin has caused irritable bowel syndrome. I am now back under the care of a gynecologist. He has accepted my body won't tolerate HRT and I am on Calcichew. HRT stands for Horrible Rotten Tablets!

If only doctors were better informed about it. I've been trying to convince them for a year of the association between the drug and the IBS. Christine Watson, Newcastle upon Tyne.....
