The alexander way of treating back pain

In your back pain report (WDDTY, Vol.10, No. 5), I was surprised that you did not recommend the marvellous Alexander Technique as an effective treatment.

Thirty years ago, I suffered chronic, recurring and incapacitating lower back pain. After 20 or so Alexander "lessons", it was cured and has never returned.

The Alexander Technique is a learning process which teaches one how to use, and not misuse, one's whole body of which one's spine is such a vital part.

These lessons I have never forgotten and have since treated my body with due respect.

Gillian Chardet, Storrington, West Sussex.
