ACID-ALKALI TESTING
Simple saliva or urine tests are available in DIY test kits. These are sophisticated versions of the litmus test, enabling you to measure pH fairly accurately (within 0.5). However, the results may be difficult to interpret. For example, saliva measurements may be complicated by the presence of acid-forming bacteria in the mouth. So, if in doubt, it may be better to have your blood pH tested in a laboratory.
