How do you know if you’re having a heart attack? There are three main symptoms of a heart attack:
- Pressure or pain in the centre of the chest, lasting more than a few minutes, or going away and coming back again
- Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms
- Chest discomfort that is combined with light headedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
If you suddenly suffer any one of these three symptoms, call an ambulance immediately.
