Only hears back from the green party

Following your appeal for your readers to write to their MEPs regarding the impending EU directive on food supplements, I wrote to four London MEPs of different main parties. The only one to reply to my letter was Jean Lambert of the Green Party.

She informed me that the UK and Irish Greens are not in favour of this directive and have put forward various amendments, which have all been rejected. She suggested that I write to the BEUC, which is very influential in the European Parliament.

I have done so and invite all WDDTY readers to do likewise. There is no reason why we cannot mount a response if we know where to make our voices heard. Mrs Hills, Kent.........
