Milk reduces risk of heart disease and stroke by 20 per cent

Milk has had a bad press – but it might reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke by up to 20 per cent, a new study suggests.

Researchers at Cardiff and Reading Universities looked at the results from 324 studies and the effect that milk drinking has on health.  While it seems to increase the risk of prostate cancer, it reduces the chances of developing heart disease, stroke and colo-rectal cancer.
