Lung cancer

A reader’s friend has been recently diagnosed with lung cancer. She has been told it is inoperable and is just starting chemotherapy. Do readers know of any natural methods that might help her?  

Vitamin C therapy

Gerson diet

Another reader suggests trying the Gerson diet.  “It seems to make sense that the nourishment you give your body can have an effect on tumour growth,” she says.  There’s lots of information available on this nutritional therapy on the Net – or you could invest in a book on the subject, such as The Gerson Therapy, by Charlotte Gerson and Morton Walker (Kensington Publishing, 2001).

Another book that may be able to help is Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Your Body But So Far Nobody’s Been Able To Tell You, by Chris Thomas and Diane Baker (Capall Bann Publishing, 2004).  According to Christina, this is an excellent source of information for any illness.  “It gives lots of nutritional advice as well as a good human biology lesson,” she says.  “Also, if you get stuck, you can contact the authors for advice, or, if necessary, make an appointment.”
