Cherries ease osteoarthritis pain

Pain from osteoarthritis may be eased by eating cherries, and the fruit may also improve movement in stiff joints.
Researchers have tested tart cherries – in pill form – on a group of osteoarthritis sufferers, and more than half reported a ‘significant’ improvement in their pain and mobility after eight weeks’ treatment.
The research team, from Baylor Research Institute, tested CherryFlex supplements, which contain Montmorency tart cherries. The cherry has been found in earlier studies to help osteoarthritis, and the Baylor research seems to confirm this.
