Thank you very much for your special report on how to prevent breast cancer (WDDTY vol 9 no 7). I was particularly grateful for the information on hair dyes. A year ago I switched to a supposedly organic product, which contains a bit of annatto and beetroot colouring and is supposedly a safe product.
However, I now see that it contains phenylendiamenes. I will not be using it again. My dark haired mother used hair dye and 20 years later developed non Hodgkin's lymphoma, although she has survived it by four years. I do not feel ready to go grey yet, and would be pleased to hear from other readers of any genuinely safe hair dyes that are available in this country. Unfortunately, henna is not suitable for very grey hair. Hazel Sabey, London..........
