An anti-wrinkle cream that actually works, say scientists
Most of us take the claims for anti-wrinkle creams with a pinch of salt – but one study has discovered that one product actually does work.
The product, No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum, ‘significantly’ reduced wrinkles in 70 per cent of users after 12 months, a new study has discovered.
It was tested on a group of 60 volunteers who showed typical signs of sun-damaged skin by researchers at the University of Manchester. They found that the product stimulates the production of fibrillin-1, a protein that promotes skin elasticity.
The product is made by Boots, the UK pharmacy chain, who also funded the research.
