Sorting out polycystic ovaries

Lose weight. Obesity can contribute to all kinds of menstrual problems including polycystic ovaries (Int J Obesity, 1979; 3: 57-63)

Homeopathy. Choose remedies to fit your individual personality. In a study of 40 women diagnosed by ultrasound to have ovarian cysts, 90 per cent were free of cysts after nine months of treatment (Br Hom J, 1991; 80: 143-8). Other journals have reported similar success (J Alt Comp Med, 1993; 11: 25-6; N Eng J Hom, 1994; 3: 11-4).

Chinese medicine. There is research to show that the Chinese remedy Shakuyaku kanzo to (TJ-68) may assist women in getting pregnant in cases where fertility is impaired (Int J Fertil Menopausal Stud, 1994; 39: 69-76).
