Heart attack and strokes: - Don't drive your car

If antacids don't cause a heart attack, then your journey to work in your car or on the bus might. Researchers have found that you are three times more likely to have a heart attack within an hour after travelling in your car or by public transport.
The finding was based on research among 691 patients who had survived a heart attack. The researchers found that most of the patients had driven a car immediately before the attack, and this was a significant common factor after analyzing for life styles and other possible causes. Travelling by public transport also had a causal effect, although it was not as great as driving a car.
