Your article "Holiday Healers" is very true. I have just once come across this problem myself, which is why I started the Guildford Homoeopathic Group in 1975, and the East Dorset Homoeopathic Group when we moved down here.
The idea is to help people understand enough homoeopathy to deal with these emergency situations by means of reference books. There are many more now than in 1975, but Gibson's First Aid Homoeopathy is still one of the best (available from the BHA), and I wrote a Materia Medica of "56 Remedies for the Busy Homoeopath", which costs £9, including postage, direct from me at the address below. . . .or 24 hour answering service
I maintain a 24 hour contactable service via answer phones at both my practice and home addresses. Should I be unavailable on either of these numbers, my mobile phone stores the messages, ensuring continuity of contact in any part of the UK. Ann Perry, Maldon.........
David Needham, of the Homoepathic Helpline service, rang in to report that a number of homoeopaths have contacted him to ask if they could provide him with full case histories of their patients, so that he is fully equipped to handle any eventuality while they are on holiday.
