Me is not all in the head

The article states that the Royal Free outbreak of ME was nothing more than hysteria. ME is a serious, debilitating, neurological condition; indeed, it has been listed by the WHO as a neurological disorder since the 1960s (ref: ICD 10 G93.3). - Hazel Stapleton, via e-mail

WDDTY replies: As a long-term subscriber, you will no doubt know that WDDTY has written widely on the many causes of ME (from viruses and vaccines to toxic overload). We have never suggested that ME is ''all in the head''. The article to which you refer was making the point that fear, caused by general public hysteria, may actually bring on physical illness. This may have been the case at the height of a number of epidemics of both contagious and non-contagious disease.
