Untreated LD
  • Stage 1 (up to one month): tick-bite rash, headache, fever, chills, fatigue, and joint pain and swelling
  • Stage 2 (up to several months): neurological problems, heart problems, and pain in the joints, tendons, muscles or bones
  • Stage 3 (up to two years): arthritis, with pain and swelling particularly in the knee.
