Fish Oils: They make kids smart, and speed up brain growth

Fish oil supplements have helped a small group of schoolchildren dramatically accelerate their learning skills and stimulate brain growth.

After just three months, the children’s reading abilities were a year ahead, and their handwriting was neater and more accurate.  But, most astonishing of all, their brains showed the sort of growth in three months that normally would be seen only after three years.

Brain scans revealed a far higher level of NAA (N-acetylaspartate), a biochemical indicator of brain development.

The children took two supplements a day of VegEPA, which contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and were encouraged to cut down on fast foods and fizzy rinks, and to be more active.
