Eczema:

Several helpful tips for last week's reader who wanted to know what she could do to help her baby's eczema. One mother whose tot also suffered from a bad bout of the eczema says the condition cleared up when he was put on a gluten-, corn- and dairy-free diet. Another reader, presumably an eczema sufferer himself, uses Hemp cream and stays off the dairy products such as yoghurt and milk to keep his skin clear. Swapping the baby's shampoo to one that is free of toxins, such as Neways, may do the trick, says one reader, while another believes in dispensing with hair products altogether and just using plain water. Certain flower and vibrational essences, propolis, aloe vera and Centella asiatica (also known as Gotu kola or Indian Pennywort) are also believed to be successful in treating eczema.
