Mmr challenge: parents lose legal aid

Such has been the publicity surrounding the MMR vaccine recently that most associate it only with autism. But, around a thousand parents in the UK think it is more dangerous still, and believe it can cause serious, and permanent, disability and death - because that's what has happened to their children after being given the triple vaccine.

Their chances of proving this took a serious knock last week when legal aid was withdrawn. The parents will now have to fund their own legal challenges if they are to be heard next year in court. As legal fees for the group already stand at £10m, it's likely that some of the parents may have to pull out.

It would be interesting to discover who decided to withdraw public funding for their campaign. As a result, the public may never hear about the sort of MMR reactions that dwarf autism.
