Eczema cured by cutting out pesticides

Your interesting article on eczema in the March issue (WDDTY vol 11 no 12) surprisingly makes no reference to the pesticides in all those 'healthy' fruits and vegetables we are advised to eat.

I have found that a trying seven year experience of eczema on my feet was reduced to practically nil since making the effort last autumn to obtain organic fruit and vegetables a major part of my diet, and both eaten raw.

I had a particularly dramatic experience with celery (which I ate daily) during this change, and later read that celery can be infected with a fungus which can cause skin irritation. So, commercial celery itself has apparently damaged my immune system! Small wonder but it seems definitely a vegetable which eczema sufferers should eat organic or not at all.

I am so glad you are helping to expose the falsity of today's 'hygiene' mania. I find many public toilets so dowsed in chlorine now, it's a battle to hold your breath (against immune system damage) while using them! Shirley-Anne Hardy, via e-mail.......
