Sjögren's syndrome

A reader’s husband has not been formally diagnosed with this autoimmune disease, but he is suffering from many of the symptoms, she says, such as dry eyes, joint pain, digestive disturbances, very low energy and migraine.  He has had one blood test, which his GP said suggested rheumatoid arthritis, but they are waiting for a consultant's appointment in a few weeks time.  In the meantime, do readers have any experiences with Sjögren's syndrome? Are there any natural remedies that may help?

Barbara has been diagnosed with this condition and says that following an anti-Candida diet helps.  In addition, she has found the most valuable natural remedies to be Molkosan liquid by BioForce (one tablespoon in half a glass of warm water before meals, swilled round the mouth for a few seconds before swallowing), a high-strength probiotic supplement, aloe vera juice and digestive enzymes.

Another reader, who suffers from both Sjögren's syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis, relies on a variety of nutritional supplements: vitamin C and E along with a multivitamin and mineral supplement, coenzyme Q10, milk thistle, BioCare’s Folguard (folic acid and vitamin B12, not to be taken with zinc) and Eye Care Plus, also from BioCare.  In addition, she takes linseed oil whenever she eats protein, as suggested by a nutritionist.  She is free of symptoms for the most part now, but still suffers from dry eyes.  Happily, Dr. Reckeweg’s Cineraria maritima eye drops provide relief.
